Editing Blog pt.2

This blog is mainly about how my group continued our editing process. Last time I posted, I talked about how we didn't have the computers to edit, but it was different this time. Although the traditional computers weren't working, we were still given laptops to work on. The last stages of this whole editing process was fairly easy. The reason I say that is because, the only thing we really had to edit was the part where Steven was catching the ball. This scene was taken from the point of view shot. The reason we had to edit that was, it looked like he was just standing there waiting. The whole beginning of the scene itself was bit stretched out. In fact, when you counted it, it was 3 seconds before he actually caught the ball. All we had to do was just clip a few seconds off.

Even though we had officially cleaned up all the other scenes, there was one thing we had to still decide on. That was, which voice over clip should we use. There were two clips that were taken during the filming process. One clip was of me saying, "Made to move". The other clip was, "Nike, Just do it". We ultimately decided to stick with "Made to move" clip. When editing we put that in the beginning after the title slate. The title slate was another thing we to fix. It's original color blended in a bit too much with the grass scene. So, we had to work on finding a lighter color with better contrast, like white.

When the whole edit process was starting to come to an end, we decided to watch to review the commercial. We watched commercial a good three times. I admired many things, like how the voice over and background were at the same tone. Meaning, one didn't overpower the other, it was all leveled out. After that, all that was left was to export it. To export it, we had to click on MPEG 4 and best quality. After that, we went to Ms. Katz so, she could tell us where to export it to. Overall, everything came out pretty good. Especially, the whole time duration of the commercial. We ended up with exactly 25.77 seconds.
